About these guidelines

ProfileVerse is a hosting platform under the Digital Services Act (EU 2022/2065). We enable users to publish and share their own content. These community guidelines define which content is allowed on our platform, how we handle violations, and what rights affected users have.

These guidelines complement our "Terms of Service" (in particular § 7 and § 11) and shall be interpreted together with them.

1. What is allowed on ProfileVerse?

Users can on ProfileVerse:

  • Create and publish personalized bio link profiles.
  • Embed links to their own websites, projects or social media profiles.
  • Embed social media content as embeds (where licensed / permitted).
  • Upload and showcase their own media (images, videos, galleries).
  • Provide contact information and biographical details.

2. Prohibited content

The following content and behaviors are not allowed on ProfileVerse. Violations may result in account suspension or deletion.

🚫 Illegal content

Content that violates applicable EU or German law, including incitement to hatred, encouragement of violence or hate, glorification of terrorism, sexual depictions of minors, and other criminal material.

🚫 Copyright infringement

Distribution of content (text, images, videos, music, logos) owned by third parties without their explicit permission.

🚫 Spam & abuse

Creating profiles solely for spreading spam, mass misleading links, or abusing the platform. This includes automated account creation.

🚫 Malware & harmful software

Links to resources that distribute viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other harmful software or lead to phishing sites.

🚫 Deception & fraud

Profiles intentionally misleading others about the identity of a person or organization (impersonation) or used to commit fraud.

🚫 Hate speech & discrimination

Content that denigrates, insults, or incites hatred against people or groups based on race, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected traits.

3. Reporting procedure for unlawful content

If you discover content on ProfileVerse that violates these guidelines or applicable law, you can report it:

Please include the following information in your report:

  • The full URL of the profile or content in question.
  • A description of why you consider the content to be unlawful or in violation.
  • Your contact details (name, email) if you want to be informed about the outcome.

Reports are reviewed carefully and without undue delay. Reporters can request feedback on the measures taken.

4. Moderation process

After a report is received or if we become aware of a violation ourselves:

  1. Review: We review the reported content against these guidelines and applicable law.
  2. Decision: If the violation is clear, the content or account is removed or suspended immediately. If it is unclear, the affected user is heard where possible and legally permissible.
  3. Notification: The affected user is informed by email about the action taken and the reason.
  4. Appeal: The affected user can appeal the decision within 14 days (see AGB § 9 para. 4).

5. Contact point for authorities (DSA Art. 11)

Authorities of EU member states can contact the provider for official requests under the Digital Services Act (especially Art. 9 and Art. 10 DSA) at the following address:

Official orders to remove or block content are processed in accordance with Art. 9 DSA. Orders to disclose information are processed in accordance with Art. 10 DSA.

6. Transparency and principles

We commit to the following moderation principles:

  • We act proportionately – measures are limited to what is necessary.
  • We act without arbitrariness – decisions are based on these guidelines and applicable law.
  • We are transparent – affected users are informed about actions and reasons.
  • We grant due process – affected users can comment before permanent measures.
  • We provide an appeal – affected users can file an appeal.
